Vote to put new books in the hands of kids!

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018

Kids will get new books with your help. All it takes is a vote.

The Library Foundation created a video for a $4,500 grant from Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Voting runs through 5 p.m. Friday, June 1.

You can vote once from each of your devices.

The voting results will narrow the field to three finalists in each category, Springfield and regional. After June 1, a CFO grant committee will choose a winner from among the three finalists. Winners will be announced and grants awarded on June 20.

The videos were produced as part of a contest celebrating the CFO’s 45th Anniversary.

Thank you for supporting kids and reading!

Shop AmazonSmile and Support the Library

Thursday, May 3rd, 2018

Turning your Amazon purchases into money for the Library is as easy as smiling. AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way to support the Library at no cost to you.

Instead of shopping, try, a website operated by Amazon with the same products, pricing and shopping features. The difference is that when you shop AmazonSmile, Amazon donates 0.5 percent of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.

On your first visit to AmazonSmile, select The Springfield Greene County Public Library Foundation. You can use the same account on so you don’t have to create another password. The website will remember that you selected the Library, and then every eligible purchase you make at will result in a donation.

Public funding alone cannot support what we do. We need your help and you can help by shopping. Donations to the Library allow us to make purchases or add patron services to supplement property tax dollars. For more information, contact The Library Foundation at 417-616-0586 or
