ReNew Brentwood Jumps Ahead with Friends $200,000 Challenge Grant

Sunday, September 20th, 2015

More than 500-plus revelers came out to the Brentwood Branch on Sunday, Sept. 23, to kick off the final phase of the capital campaign to ReNew Brentwood! Then the big surprise: The Friends of the Library issued a $200,000 challenge! The Friends will match all cash-in-hand donations beginning at the block party and going forward, up to $200,000. The Friends grant  put us at $1.5 million on our way to our $2.5 million goal. Well wishers donated $4,160 at the Foundation table to show their support, So that $4,160 just became $8,320! Thank you to all the food sponsors (Mmmmm, love those Perkins pies and muffins, and Jet’s pizzas!), booths and children’s activities staffed by our Brentwood community partners, and all the great entertainers!
